Local 464 mourns the passing of, life-long
labour activist, Arthur “Art” Alexander Kube (January 9, 1935 – February 10,
2019). Throughout his life, Art was a
Union Organizer, the Regional Director of Education of the Canadian Labour
Congress (CLC) and the developer CLC’s Winter School at Harrison Hot Springs. Kube
was also past President of the BC Federation of Labour and the Chairperson for the
largest political protest in BC’s history, Operation Solidarity. BC has lost a treasure,
a real advocate for the working man. He will be missed.
