To All Local 464 Members - Organizing Incentive Program
To incentify member involvement in growing the Local Union, Local 464 has instituted an Organizing Incentive Program. The mechanics of the Program are as follows:
Any member of Local 464 can bring forward to the Local Union a tip for a workplace that needs Union representation, that is within Local 464’s jurisdiction (see below), and a contact person, or multiple contacts, from within that workplace.
Should the tip result in a Certification and ratified first contract, the individual who brought it forward will qualify for compensation, for the initial contact and any other involvement that helped to achieve and finalize the new Agreement.
The official jurisdiction of this Local Union is Dairy and Bakery, plus “miscellaneous” (something that is not a core jurisdiction of any other Teamster Local in BC). Food Processing may also be deemed a good fit.
Non-members, from within the target workplace, can bring forward to the Local Union a tip for their workplace that needs Union representation, as above, and will be compensated for time expended on the campaign, plus expenses.
Please contact your Local Union office for details on the compensation model.
To get involved in this Program, or learn further details, please reach out to Brother Bret O’Neill, Organizer and Business Agent, or any other Representative of the Local Union.
Fraternally,
Paul Barton
